On this page you will be taken through the process of designing your pendant.
Use the examples provided throughout this website as a guide, if you have an idea that isn't featured feel free to contact me to see if it is possible. Follow the "Tasks" below to complete your design sheet.
If you would like to order a design exactly the same as a pendant featured on this website you may simply draw the size you require on the design sheet and write down the webpage name and image number.
Step 1: Shape
The shape of the pendant can be square, rectangle, triangle, or an irregular shape. Due to the organic nature of the process pieces often have slightly shaped edges.Straight edges are achievable, please state when ordering.
Task 1: Practice drawing a few shapes on a seperate sheet of paper, once you are happy with your shape, draw it carefully in the space provided on the design sheet in your pack. Draw it to the exact size you wish your pendant to be.
Examples:
Square/Rectanglar
Triangular
Irregular
Step 2: Colour
With the variety of colours of glass and paints available any colour combination is possible. Please consider now if you would like to use transparent glass, (which you can see through) or opaque,(which you can't!) or a combination of both. The piece can have up to three layers (see Making the Jewellery) You can have a different colour for each level if desired.
Task 2: Once you have chosen your colours, use either pens, coloured pencils or paints and paint a few dots of colour in the space provided on the design sheet to create a colour scheme.

Step 4: Building your design
Now you know which shape, colour and texture you would like, it's time to put this together and create your final design. Have a look again through the examples provided and decide whether you would like your colours in stripes, swirls, random patterns or anything else your imagination has come up with. Have a go on a seperate piece of paper, change the colours round, play with different design ideas until you are completely satisified. If you would like any further advice don't hesitate to get in touch.
Task: Once you are happy with your design copy it on to the design sheet in the space provided. Keep your drawing light at first to make any initial mistakes easy to rectify! Using whatever coloured drawing equipment you are most comfortable with, shade in the colours and if you can, the texture. Once you are finished this write a written description of your requirements, on the sheet provided, using as much detail as possible. If you are not confident with using drawing materials, the written description gives you an opportunity to really express what you want.
Step 5: Now it's over to me!
Now your design is complete, it's time to place it in the special envelope provided and post it for me to interpret. Please place the receipt half in the envelope along with your design. Designs will not be accepted if not received in the correct envelope. Once the design is received you will receive a confirmation email. If I feel I need some clarification on the design or I need to inform you of any parts of your design which may not be achievable without a slight change, I will also be in touch.
Task: Post the design in the envelope provided.
Step 6
